Apr. 14, 2008 - Rookie Christian Stover Continues to Impress at the California Civill War Race at Placerville Speedway. In only his 5th start, the 16 year old high school student Qualified 23rd out of 42 car star studded field. In the third heat, Stover started on the pole. With a clean start he raced his way in the feature with a 2nd running nice smooth laps. In the feature, Stover's job was to gain more experience and turn laps. The only Rookie fast enough to make the Main, Stover started 9th row outside. The race was plagued with reds. 12 cars on the night left on the hook. With about 7 to go Stover hit a rut ,bumped and tipped her over. He was running 14th at the time. Look for the straight A student from Alpine, Ca. to gain more seat time friday nights at Silver Dollar Speedway, Ca. Civil War, and Placerville Speedway.
